In Crimea, detainees will be recruited for the "SVO" according to the standard

The district police departments and district inspectorates in Crimea received the so-called "recruitment" standard - the number of detainees who must sign a contract with the Russian army in exchange for the removal of criminal liability for the act. This was reported by the human rights initiative "Tribunal. Crimean Episode", citing a source in the Crimean Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the "Tribunal", the standard corresponds to the real crime situation: where there are many detainees, it is higher. The authorities also made it clear that in order to fulfill the plan, a scheme of planting illegal items and drugs can be used, promising to "cover" from inspections by higher authorities.

"At the same time, plans for recruiting defendants are communicated separately. But their implementation is stalled because investigators have no grounds to close criminal cases against "contract soldiers" and they fear that they themselves will later be accused of official forgery. The leadership of the Crimean Ministry of Internal Affairs has not yet found a clear solution to this conflict. And we remind you that forcing people to serve in the armed forces of an occupying country is a war crime. Who, if not police officers, should understand this," warns "Tribunal".
