In Makhachkala, four participants in the airport riots were released from arrest

Four people arrested in a criminal case related to riots at the local airport were released from pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Makhachkala. The chairman of the public monitoring commission of Dagestan, Shamil Khadulaev, wrote about this.

The social activist named the names of those released: Arsen Arbuliev, Saidapandi Abdulazizov, Nazhmudin Abakarov and Malik Aliyev. For what reason they were released, Khadulaev did not specify.

The day before, the Fifth Court of Cassation changed the territorial jurisdiction for ten participants in the riots that occurred in October 2023 at the Makhachkala airport. They will be tried in the Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, the Prosecutor General's Office reported. According to lawyers, the change in jurisdiction is illegal and violates the constitutional rights of citizens.

There are 131 defendants in the case of mass riots at Makhachkala airport. Eight of them are wanted.
Let us recall that on October 29, 2023, hundreds of people broke into Makhachkala airport, trying to find passengers on a transit flight from Tel Aviv. Those gathered opposed Israel's actions in Palestine.
