Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to simplify border crossings: the parties plan to introduce a single-window system at joint border crossings.

Armenia has ceased to show interest in contacts with Russia through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense. Instead, Yerevan is increasing ties with the West. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin stated this in an interview with TASS.
According to the diplomat, since November 2023, no meetings have been held between the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and Armenia. The latter showed no interest in the proposal to conclude another plan for inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs consultations. The dynamics of contacts between defense departments and military-technical cooperation have noticeably deteriorated.
“Unfortunately, the Armenian leadership chose to invite the EU mission, which does not protect the borders of the state, but is engaged in collecting intelligence against Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia,” Galuzin shared. He also noted that many risks could be mitigated if Yerevan agreed to the proposal to implement a set of measures through the CSTO to stabilize the situation on the border with Azerbaijan.
Recently, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused two CSTO member countries of providing assistance to Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War. “In 2020, our allies took part in the preparations for the war, not on our side,” he emphasized during a speech in parliament. Observers immediately identified these countries - the Russian Federation and Belarus.
