In Murmansk, a native of Dagestan was arrested on charges of setting fire to a military registration and enlistment office

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk arrested for two months Shamil Aliev-Gasanov, a 19-year-old native of Dagestan, accused of setting fire to the regional military enlistment office. He was charged with committing a terrorist act (Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). According to the version of the investigation, Aliyev-Hasanov attempted to escape after the arson and tried to throw away the canister and the lighter.

On the night of May 14, the young man set fire to the military registration and enlistment office, after which he disappeared. One of the cabinets was damaged. During interrogation, Shamil said that he did it under the threat of an unknown person from social networks.

Over the past year in different regions of the Russian Federation there have been massive arsons of military registration and enlistment offices. Such actions were a response to the war in Ukraine.
