The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia denied information circulated in the media about searches in the office of the head of the department Mikhail Korobkin. Earlier it was reported that searches were conducted at the head of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs in connection with the theft of 1.2 billion.
Representatives of the department advised to double-check the information and rely only on reliable sources on the specialized website. The only reliable report in connection with corruption in the department was the case of the theft by a number of employees of funds allocated to finance the activities of the internal affairs bodies of Ingushetia. The suspects could have awarded bonuses to police officers without their knowledge, and then cashed them. At least four people have been detained.
