Russia says Georgia is moving "along the Ukrainian path into a dark abyss"
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on what is happening in Georgia today, in particular the position of the country's president, in his official Telegram channel.

"In Georgia, there is an attempt at another "color ("rose", "orange", etc.) revolution". Some people are screaming in the streets, smashing and setting everything on fire. The other part is silent. The expired "president" of Georgia, the diligent French student of Zbigniew Brzezinski, crazy Aunt Salome, has babbled that she will not vacate her seat because she does not recognize the elections. For this, they used to hang people on lampposts," Medvedev wrote in his post about three key events in Europe at the very beginning of winter.

According to him, "there are all the prerequisites for Georgia to be plunged back into the abyss of civil conflict, forcing it to choose between the insolent EU, NATO and Pindostan, on the one hand, and the ancient land of Sakartvelo, on the other."

Medvedev summed up his conclusions with a threat: "In short, our neighbors are quickly moving along the Ukrainian path into a dark abyss. This usually ends very badly."

However, it is not entirely clear whether the opinion of the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council should be considered the official position of the Russian authorities regarding the events in Georgia in recent days. For example, the Russian Ambassador to Great Britain Andrei Kelin recently reported in an interview with the BBC that "Medvedev says what he really thinks. But he thinks this as a private person. He does not say this as an official."

According to the Russian diplomat, "only three people have the right to officially speak on behalf of our country: the president, the head and the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," meaning the former president is not on this list.

With the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Dmitry Medvedev has become one of the most odious and bloodthirsty Z-bloggers. He often makes nuclear threats against some European countries and insults with obscene language against foreign politicians on his Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, protests against the authorities' decision to freeze negotiations on the country's European integration until 2028 have been going on in Georgia for four days now. Before that, society protested against the results of the October parliamentary elections, which the opposition considers falsified. The Georgian legislative body, represented by the victorious Georgian Dream party, has scheduled the so-called presidential "elections" for December 14, and the inauguration for December 29. However, Salome Zurabishvili said that she does not intend to leave her post until a legitimate parliament is elected.
