The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Partial mobilization announced in Russia
On September 21, partial mobilization was announced in Russia. In one day, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted amendments to the Criminal Code, toughening penalties for failure to appear for duty and training, refusal to participate in hostilities, and looting.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called on natives of the republic participating in the war in Ukraine to kill the chairman of the government of the unrecognized republic of Ichkeria in exile, Akhmed Zakayev. He promised the murderers freedom and a prosperous life.
