In the Rostov Region, a drone strike again sparked wildfires. Ukraine was also attacked from there

On the night of September 1, the Rostov Region was subjected to a massive drone attack. According to authorities, approximately 40 UAVs were shot down over the region. Governor Yuri Slyusar claims there were no casualties.

Wreckage from the downed drones caused several fires. Grass caught fire in the Tarasovsky District, and a forest blazed in the Sholokhovsky District. The wildfire covered an area of ​​1,000 square meters, but was contained.

This is far from the first wildfire in the Sholokhovsky District following drone strikes. The previous day, fires had broken out in two locations and engulfed a total of approximately 1.5 hectares.

Meanwhile, on the night of September 1, the Rostov Region was used by the Russian military for strikes against Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Iskander ballistic missiles, Zircon anti-ship missiles, and S8000 Banderol small-size missiles were launched from training grounds in the region. Drones were also launched into Ukraine from Millerovo.

Furthermore, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Kalibr cruise missiles launched from Novorossiysk, as well as anti-radar missiles from the Black Sea. Drones were also launched from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Krasnodar Krai.

According to the Ukrainian side, the main strikes hit the Odesa and Kyiv regions. At least three people were killed and more than ten others were injured in the attack.
