North Ossetia Bans Publishing Images of Drones and the Aftermath of Their Attacks

In North Ossetia, posting photos and videos showing the results of drone attacks in the media and on social media is now prohibited. The ban also applies to images capturing drone overflights and the operation of air defense systems.

This legislative initiative was proposed by the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo. Members of the republic's parliament have already amended the law on administrative offenses accordingly.
Exceptions apply in cases where the publication of the materials is authorized by government agencies.

The dissemination of information about the location of military installations, critical infrastructure facilities, and the location of law enforcement agencies is also prohibited. Fines for violations are set at 3,000 to 5,000 rubles for individuals, 30,000 to 50,000 rubles for officials, and 100,000 to 200,000 rubles for legal entities.
