In Stavropol, a man accused of murdering the city's deputy head and a veteran of the "SVO" was arrested

The Leninsky District Court of Stavropol remanded in custody until the end of July a man accused of murdering the first deputy head of the city, Zaur Gurtsiev, who was previously a member of the "SVO". The court concealed the name of the defendant.

Earlier, a criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 105 ("Murder of two persons committed in a generally dangerous manner by prior conspiracy") and Part 1 of Article 222.1 ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, carrying of an explosive device").

On May 28, around midnight, an explosion occurred on Chekhov Street near a multi-story building in Stavropol. As a result, two men died - Gurtsiev and his acquaintance. An explosive device was found in the latter's bag. The investigation believes that a third person was involved in the crime, who was arrested.

Let us recall that Zaur Gurtsiev, according to information on the website of the personnel program "Time of Heroes", headed the air part of the operation to capture Mariupol. Ukrainian law enforcement agencies qualify the air strikes on Mariupol as a war crime.
