A new district named after Vladimir Putin opened in the capital of Chechnya

The first phase of a new district named after Vladimir Putin was officially opened in Grozny. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Alexander Novak and Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov attended the ceremony.

Over 330,000 square meters of housing were commissioned during the first phase. The district covers a total area of 300 hectares and is designed to accommodate 150,000 people. The project includes the construction of six schools, nine kindergartens, four sports complexes, two cultural centers, three religious sites, and a nine-hectare park.

Alexander Novak noted that Grozny is becoming one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

"I was thinking today that if a couple more such microdistricts are built in Grozny, Grozny will become a city with a population of over a million," the Deputy Prime Minister shared.

Ramzan Kadyrov, in turn, stated that "the opening of the Vladimir Putin district is not just an event; it is a symbol of faith in the future, in the strength of our unity and the steadfastness of the course of the first president of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, who wanted our city to be exactly like this."
