The political party led by former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has decided to retake parliamentary seats. This was announced at a briefing by one of its leaders, Giorgi Sharashidze, and later by the party's leader.

The Federation Council of the Russian Federation will send a request to the National Assembly of Armenia in order to find out the position of deputies regarding Speaker Alen Simonyan’s accusations against Russia. This was announced by Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.
Earlier in Spain, at a conference of chairmen of the parliaments of EU member states, Simonyan accused Russia of threats and slander against Armenia, and also announced a “Russian invasion of Ukraine.” Before this, he noted that the path to the EU for the country is “the most desirable and correct option that we should go to.”
“We will not ignore this kind of Russophobic, anti-Russian speeches. It was just a shame for our colleague that he had already crossed all the red lines,” Matvienko said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded clarification from Armenia regarding the agreements with the United States and the European Union. The Kremlin noted that it would not be surprised if it turns out that plans to replace the Russian military base and border guards in Armenia with Western ones become a reality.
Recently, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and members of his government have openly criticized the Kremlin. The latter was accused of the passivity of Russian peacekeepers during the last Karabakh war. In addition, Armenia expresses doubts about the advisability of membership in the CSTO, a post-Soviet analogue of NATO led by the Russian Federation.
