A Muslim blogger who criticized the "Russian Community" has been detained

Mansur Gneev, a 23-year-old Muslim blogger known for criticizing the nationalist organization "Russian Community," has been detained in the Krasnodar Krai. A criminal case has been opened against him under the "extremism" law for a video published on his YouTube channel.

According to the blogger's wife, Raida Gneeva, FSB officers, representatives of the NTV channel, and a member of the "Russian Community," who is also an investigator, came to their home. She claims that force was used against her husband during the arrest, although he offered no resistance. She also claims that the member of the "Russian Community" stated that he was waiting for an opportunity to detain him. Law enforcement officers confiscated the family's electronics. The blogger is survived by their four-month-old child.

The "Russian Community" emerged in 2020 and became active in 2024 amid anti-immigrant sentiment. She is known for her actions against migrants, and according to some reports, she may be connected to Russian security forces.
