The Georgian Parliament has expeditiously passed a bill in its third and final reading requiring organizers of protests in "places where people gather or where vehicles are moving" (including on sidewalks) to notify the police. The responsible person must contact the Patrol Service Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (located at the location of the demonstration) in writing no later than five days before the rally.
Zarifa Sautiyeva, a defendant in the Ingush Case, has deteriorated in her health. Despite problems with the immune system, spine and psyche, she cannot get an examination and treatment. This was reported by the Center for the Protection of Human Rights "Memorial".
Also, the woman has an increased level of sugar, and against this background, her eyesight has seriously deteriorated. The lawyer fears she will need eye surgery. It is not known whether Sautiyeva needs insulin injections - the last examination was last year.
The lawyer noted that Zarifa looks psychologically depressed: “Four years in the pre-trial detention center have seriously affected her psychological state. She began to periodically suffer from depression. In addition, Sautiyeva often suffers from influenza and SARS, which are severe and with complications. Doctors are rarely allowed in, and the facility lacks the necessary medicines, equipment, and staff.
