Zelensky criticized the West's indecisiveness regarding the Georgian authorities
The West has not responded decisively enough to the situation in Georgia and Russia's efforts to establish control over it. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He recalled that Ukraine's loss in the war would lead to "explosions of war" both in Europe and beyond, citing the situation in Georgia as an example. According to him, the country, which was free and democratic yesterday, is today usurped by oligarchs and all power in it belongs to businesses directly connected to Moscow. The Georgian government is now completely under the political control of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian leader emphasized.

"What strong measures have the United States taken now? What strong measures have European countries taken? I don't see it, I'm telling you frankly. The same thing will continue to happen in Moldova, there are high risks," Zelensky shared his forecast.

EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Gerchinsky expressed concern again and reminded that the current situation in the country will be discussed at the EU Foreign Affairs Council on December 16.

"Very intensive negotiations are currently underway in Brussels to agree on various measures, and I hope that the 27 member states will agree on them in more detail. So let's wait until Monday, all options will be considered, including the suspension of the visa-free regime for holders of specific passports and, most importantly, sanctions," Gerchinsky said.
