On December 11, a protest took place in front of the Armenian Embassy in Moscow. Participants demanded that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who was attending a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union Council, release persecuted clergy.
A criminal case has been opened against five residents of Ingushetia under the article on failure to report a crime. According to the investigation, they (including two minors) failed to warn about the planned terrorist attack in the Sunzha church.
“It was established that in August 2024, the accused, during a personal meeting with two residents of the republic, received reliable information that the latter had sworn an oath to the leader of an international organization recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation. However, they did not report this to law enforcement agencies,” the Investigative Committee website says.
Earlier, three residents of the republic were accused of preparing a terrorist attack in the Sunzha church. The investigation believes that they had a curator from Syria. Cases against the accused have been opened under five articles of the criminal code.
