The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on plans by US President Donald Trump's family, along with local partners, to build a 70-story Trump Tower in Tbilisi. According to the publication, the building is slated to be the tallest in the Georgian capital.
This news comes amid the ruling Georgian Dream party's desire to restore relations with the United States and establish a partnership with the Trump administration.
Residents of multi-story buildings on several streets in Kaspiysk have been without central water supply for about a week. Local media also report problems with garbage collection.
The state-run television channel "Dagestan" aired a report featuring residents' complaints about the lack of water. An accident on a main water pipeline was cited as the cause of the outage. At least six streets remain without water.
The Dagestan Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. In an official statement, the agency stated that it will evaluate compliance with legislation on ensuring citizens' rights in the housing and utilities sector. It also stated that it will monitor the progress of restoration work.
Telegram users noted that the Kaspiysk administration officially informed residents of the water supply problems only after the publication of a video appeal from citizens. Prior to this, officials had ignored the appeals.
