The British Embassy in Georgia responded to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze's statement that London should apologize for a "fake" spread by the BBC. This refers to the British Broadcasting Corporation's controversial report alleging that Georgian authorities used a World War I-era chemical weapon called "kamit" to suppress anti-government protests.
A resident of Dagestan was given a real term for protesting against mobilization
The Supreme Court of Dagestan approved a year and a half in prison for Makhachkala resident Adam Gadzhiev for participating in protests against mobilization for war with Ukraine. He was charged under an article on the use of non-dangerous violence against a government official.
Gadzhiev participated in a rally against mobilization on September 25-26 in Makhachkala. In relation to the defendants, 259 protocols were drawn up and about 30 criminal cases were initiated.
Earlier, five protesters were sentenced to real and suspended sentences, as well as fines. All were accused of causing dangerous harm to the police. Later, the investigation found that many security forces were in civilian clothes and the protesters could not know this.
