Zurabishvili gave Georgian Dream six days to agree on a date for new elections
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, as previously announced, spoke at a protest rally in front of parliament, despite obstacles from the authorities. Before that, local media reported that the Interior Ministry confiscated a car with sound equipment and a stage without explanation, and it was taken to an impound lot.

Zurabishvili began her address with an ironic remark about the number of participants in the rally. Recall that today Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that people have stopped gathering en masse and that there were at most 3,000 people at Saturday's rally.

"Exactly, there are 300 of you here," Zurabishvili addressed the tens of thousands of people who had gathered with a smile.

Salome Zurabishvili said that she was giving the ruling party six days to decide whether to hold new elections. The date of the agreement must be agreed upon before December 29, the day on which the Georgian Dream has planned the inauguration of the new president.

"I am waiting for an answer. To make everything clear, I will record a full speech from the palace tomorrow evening," the president said.

In addition, Salome Zurabishvili once again stated her readiness to meet with the founder of the ruling party Bidzina Ivanishvili: "For everything in the country to end well, let him come to the palace, since he rules everything."

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze threatened the country's president with prison. He warned that if Zurabishvili does not vacate the residence by December 29, this will be considered a criminal offense.

Recall that large-scale pro-European protests in Georgia have been going on for 25 days. This reaction from the people was caused by the government's decision to freeze negotiations on the country's European integration until 2028. Earlier, the opposition and its supporters protested against the results of the parliamentary elections, claiming massive falsifications.
