Georgia has no plans to restore diplomatic relations with Russia. This was stated by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze after his ruling party, Georgian Dream, won the majority of votes in the parliamentary elections.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, along with the opposition parties, did not recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held on October 26. She declared them "total falsification" and called on the population not to recognize the results of the vote either. In addition, Zurabishvili announced a protest action near the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue on October 28 at 19:00.

The collection of signatures to initiate a referendum on Armenia's accession to the EU has been completed. Instead of the required 50 thousand signatures, 60 thousand have been collected. They will be transferred to the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, which, after appropriate checks, will send them to the country's parliament for consideration.

During the parliamentary elections in Georgia in Marneuli, an attempt was recorded to stuff several ballots into the ballot box at once. As a result, voting was abolished at polling station No. 69, the country's Central Election Commission reported.

The Georgian authorities have received signals from Western partners that relations with the republic will be rebooted after the parliamentary elections. This was announced by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
