Mzia Amaglobeli, founder of the publications Batumelebi and Netgazeti, who is serving time in Georgia, has been awarded the European Union's highest human rights award, the Sakharov Prize. She also received the same honor from Belarusian journalist Andrzej Poczobut. The €50,000 prize will be presented in absentia to the laureates in Strasbourg on December 16.

In Belgorod, Z volunteer Irina I. was fined 30,000 rubles for "discrediting the Russian Armed Forces" following a comment on the Telegram channel of Z military correspondent Romanov. Her comments concerned the redeployment of the Russian army unit "Akhmat" from Chechnya to the Belgorod region.

The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Keta Tsitskishvili, a journalist for the opposition television channel Formula TV, to five days of administrative arrest. She is accused of blocking a road during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue.
