They want to jail Abdulmumin Hajiyev for 19 years

In the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don, the prosecutor asked for 19 years in prison for the Dagestan journalist. For the same period they want to put two other defendants - Kemal Tambiev and Abubakar Rizvanov.

According to the state prosecutor, Hajiyev and the others deserve such punishment, because their participation in the activities of terrorist organizations was fully proven in court: ISIS, the “Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Dagestan”, the “Supreme Military Majlisul Shura of the United Forces of the Mujahideen of the Caucasus”, and was also confirmed organization by the defendants of their financing. Abdulmumin Hajiyev, according to the prosecutor, participated in these organizations by writing articles in the Chernovik newspaper, through which he involved people in their activities and revived it on the territory of the Russian Federation. He also sent 16,000 rubles to ISIS from his bank card.

Previously, all three examinations of the journalist's articles did not reveal anything illegal in them, much less related to terrorism. In addition, none of the witnesses for the prosecution was able to provide incriminating information about Hajiyev. However, he has been under arrest since 2019.
