Armenia sent humanitarian aid to Iran

The Republic of Armenia has sent humanitarian aid to Iran. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced this at a parliamentary session.

"It couldn't have been otherwise. Not only at this moment, but for centuries and millennia, even beyond states, our peoples have been friends. We didn't think it necessary to trumpet this to the whole world," the minister said in response to a question from an opposition MP.

Amid the fighting against Iran, Armenia accepted refugees from 46 foreign countries. In addition, 25 Armenian citizens were successfully evacuated from Kuwait.

The conflict escalated on February 28, when Israel, along with the United States, launched strikes against Iran, which Donald Trump announced as the beginning of a large-scale military operation. In response, Iran launched strikes against Israeli territory, American facilities, and civilian targets in the Middle East.
