The head of the Caucasus Muslim Board called for peace in the Middle East
Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazade, head of the Caucasus Muslim Board, commented on the sharp escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. The statement was made after the Eid prayer at the Tezepir Mosque in Baku, dedicated to Ramadan.
The religious figure emphasized that the war primarily negatively impacts civilians and called on the parties to adopt the "language of diplomacy."
"My call is to end the war and sit at the negotiating table. The parties must strive to find common ground through mutual negotiations," Pashazade said.
He also noted that protracted conflicts do not bring long-term peace, and that an early start to dialogue facilitates the rapid achievement of positive results.
