Pashinyan: "May 9 is celebrated amid peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia"

In his congratulatory message, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that "we celebrate May 9, 2026, amid peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan." He described this as a crucial achievement, the first since Armenia's independence.

Pashinyan also noted that the main task today is to cherish the peace achieved, making it more durable and reliable.

"The established peace is a historic opportunity for our country to achieve previously unseen levels of security, prosperity, and development. Today, we are confidently moving along this path, and a developed, free, secure, prosperous, and democratic Republic of Armenia is the greatest tribute to the memory of all our fallen throughout time and the service we must render to our citizens and generations. We will fulfill our duty, we will fulfill our service," the Armenian leader stated.
