Pashinyan proposed Azerbaijan to sign the approved articles of the peace treaty
Armenia proposed Azerbaijan to sign the already agreed articles of the peace agreement. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at an event organized by the UN Security Council in New York. According to him, this "will create a stimulating environment for advancing the peace process."

"I and the government that I lead are committed to closing the page of conflict in our region and transforming the current dynamics into cooperation for the sake of prosperity, stability and peace. Armenia is ready to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan," Pashinyan said.

He also emphasized Yerevan's readiness to continue the delimitation of the border between the countries, based on the regulations signed by the countries on August 30 based on the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991.

Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the text of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia had been agreed upon by about 80%. He also emphasized that in order to sign the document, it is important to make changes to the Constitution of Armenia in order to put an end to territorial claims against Azerbaijan on a constitutional basis.
