The United States and Armenia have begun implementing the Trump Initiative for Peace and Development (TRIPP) by establishing a joint working group. This was announced by US Deputy Secretary of State Alison Hooker at a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.
In 2024, tourist spending in the North Caucasus increased by 17% and reached 17.4 billion rubles. This was reported by Sber analysts.
Dagestan became the leader in tourist spending with an indicator of 6.8 billion rubles. This is 14% more than in 2023. In 2nd place is the Karachay-Cherkess Republic: over 3.5 billion rubles, an increase of 17%. In 3rd place is North Ossetia: 2.8 billion rubles with a dynamic of 14%.
Dagestan also became the leader in the length of stay of tourists: on average, it is about six weeks. In Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Chechnya, visitors stayed for 6-7 days, while trips to Karachay-Cherkessia were shorter.
