According to his brother, Visangiriyev is being held in Penal Colony No. 7 in the Vladimir region. He claims the conditions are normal and he has not received any new complaints. His health is stable. However, he continues to be denied transfer to a penal colony in Chechnya.
Last year, a new criminal case was opened against Said-Akhmed Visangiriyev for battery. He claimed the charges were provoked by the prison administration. Visangiriyev was assigned a cellmate who intentionally provoked conflicts, while requests for the provocateur to be isolated were ignored.
Reports of Said-Akhmed Visangiriyev's ill-treatment in Penal Colonies No. 3 and No. 6 in the Vladimir Region had previously surfaced. According to him, immediately upon his arrival at Penal Colony No. 6, he experienced violations of Muslim rights. In Penal Colony No. 3, where he was transferred for examination, he was subjected to torture and humiliation by inmates who collaborated with the administration. Specifically, the inmate reported beatings, forced to clean a toilet in a humiliating manner, and threats of sexual violence.
