The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Georgia's fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, addressed Volodymyr Zelenskyy ahead of a meeting of European Union leaders dedicated to the war in Ukraine. The politician expressed support for the Ukrainian president and wished him "strength and a peaceful future with dignity."

The heads of state of the European Union participating in the G20 summit in South Africa will hold a separate meeting on Saturday, November 22, to discuss the war in Ukraine and the "peace plan" initiated by the US President. According to European Pravda, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen wrote this on social media following a conversation with Zelenskyy.
It was previously reported that the leaders of the Nordic-Baltic Eight states held a joint telephone conversation on Friday.
"Today we discussed the current situation and clearly stated that nothing concerning Ukraine can be resolved without Ukraine. As a next step, European leaders will meet tomorrow at the G20 summit, and then in Angola for the EU-AU meeting," von der Leyen commented on the conversation.
Recently, Zurabishvili, on her social media page, expressed condolences to the residents of Ternopil, Ukraine, which suffered in the Russian attack on November 19.
"As a result of Russia's brutal strike, 25 people were killed and 93 were injured, including children. This is not just a war, but deliberate terror against an innocent population," Salome Zurabishvili wrote.
Following the attack on Ternopil, the Ukrainian president called on his allies to increase pressure on Russia.
