In the National Assembly of Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan touched upon key issues of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, regional communications and international agreements. He noted that during the talks in Washington, Armenia and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of mutual recognition of territorial integrity and sovereignty. Pashinyan emphasized that this had become an important consensus between the parties.

The new road connecting the mainland of Azerbaijan with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has received the loud name "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP). However, the details of the functioning of this route remain vague.

Azerbaijan is strengthening its position as a key economic partner of Ukraine in the South Caucasus region. This was stated by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Baku Yuriy Gusev during his speech at the logistics forum.

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) said it would not be able to send an observation mission to the local elections in Georgia scheduled for October 4. The organization explained that the invitation from the government came too late — less than a month before voting day. This leaves no time to prepare and conduct full-fledged monitoring in accordance with the ODIHR methodology.

Candidate for mayor of Tbilisi and General Secretary of the Georgian Dream Kakha Kaladze commented on the incident at his election headquarters on Melikishvili Avenue, calling it a planned provocation. According to him, a group of about thirty opposition-minded activists arrived at the headquarters building with the aim of "artificially escalating tensions".

Late in the evening of September 8, a serious clash between government supporters and participants in the anti-government rally took place at the election headquarters of the ruling Georgian Dream party's candidate for mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze on Melikishvili Avenue.

The European Commission expects the Georgian authorities to take steps to implement the EU recommendations in order to avoid suspension of the visa-free travel. Brussels continues to analyze the actions of the Georgian government, as well as the response sent on August 31 to the letter from the European Commission received on July 14.

Georgian citizen Georgiy Kinoyan, who fought for Ukraine as part of the "Georgian Legion", was detained on the Armenian-Georgian border. This was reported by Georgian media.
