The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Two regions of the North Caucasus have become leaders in the growth of expenses on catering, as well as in trade and paid services. These are Adygea (+20.7%) and Karachay-Cherkessia (+11.7%), according to RIA Novosti.
Ingushetia was in 12th place in the consumer demand dynamics rating (+9.6%), Stavropol Krai - in 21st (+8.9%), Kabardino-Balkaria - in 23rd (+8.7%), North Ossetia - in 32nd (+7.2%), Chechnya - in 53rd (+5.7%), Dagestan - in 81st (+1.9%)
Negative dynamics were observed in Sevastopol, in two more regions of the Russian Federation it was weak. In the Arkhangelsk Region and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, consumer demand grew by less than 1%.
On average in Russia, the indicator grew by 6.4%. The main increase in consumer demand is noted in retail trade - 7.2% per year. The public catering sector showed higher dynamics - 9%.
