Azerbaijan Expands Its Gas Supply Geography
In 2025, Azerbaijan exported 25.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, demonstrating the diversification of its export destinations.
Europe became the largest consumer (12.8 billion cubic meters), with significant volumes also supplied to Turkey (9.6 billion cubic meters, including 5.6 billion cubic meters via the TANAP pipeline) and Georgia (2.3 billion cubic meters).
A new export destination in 2025 was Syria (0.5 billion cubic meters), where gas began flowing in August via Turkey, supporting power plants and generating significant amounts of electricity in Aleppo and Homs (1200-1300 MW).
