Azerbaijan has largely completed construction of the road and rail infrastructure that is expected to connect with the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) in Armenia, according to a joint statement by the United States, Azerbaijan and Armenia issued to mark the anniversary of their trilateral summit in Washington.

According to the statement, TRIPP has moved from the conceptual stage towards practical implementation. Azerbaijan has nearly completed the roads and railway lines running through its territory that are expected to connect with the future TRIPP infrastructure in Armenia.Engineering and survey work is continuing on the Armenian side of the route. The United States and Armenia have also agreed to establish the TRIPP Development Company, which will be responsible for developing the route's infrastructure.

The United States, Azerbaijan and Armenia also support the construction of a power transmission line along the TRIPP route, meaning the project is expected to include both transport and energy infrastructure.TRIPP is intended to establish a transport link between mainland Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan exclave through Armenian territory, while also becoming part of a broader network of regional and international trade and transport routes.

The joint statement also formally noted the termination of the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and related structures. They were dissolved following a joint request by Azerbaijan and Armenia, with the parties describing the move as another indication that the previous phase of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict has come to an end.

The TRIPP agreements were reached in Washington in August 2025 with the mediation of U.S. President Donald Trump. At the time, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration, while the foreign ministers of the two countries initialled a draft peace agreement.
