Regions of the North Caucasus Federal District are at the bottom of the rating of affordability of the initial mortgage payment for the population
Kabardino-Balkaria is in the penultimate, 84th place in the ranking of saving up for the initial mortgage payment. Here, the average family with one child will have to wait 7.7 years. The worst income situation is in Crimea - it will take more than 8 years to collect the required amount.

Dagestan is in 83rd place (7.4 years), Chechnya is in 82nd (7.1 years), Ingushetia is in 80th (6.8 years), Karachay-Cherkessia is in 79th (6.7 years), North Ossetia is in 77th (6.5 years).

The best situation, as it turned out, is in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug: residents will have to save up for only 2.3 years, and only 5.6% of the population will not be able to afford a mortgage. In second place was the Magadan Region - 2.5 years and 10.5%. In third place was the Nenets Autonomous Okrug with indicators of 2.6 years and 18.9%.

When calculating, experts assumed that a family consisting of two working people and one child saves 50% of their income every month. The required down payment was determined as 30% of the cost of a typical sixty-meter apartment in each region. Subsistence minimums, salaries, and real estate prices for all regions were taken separately from official statistics.
