Grozny and Stavropol entered the top ten in housing commissioning

In the capital of Chechnya, 1.38 sq. m of housing in terms of one resident of the city. With this indicator, Grozny ranked fifth in the country, according to a study by RIA Rating.

Stavropol occupies the 7th place (1.23 sq.m per inhabitant). Further, the capitals of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District are located in the following order: Cherkessk - 16th place (1 sq. m per inhabitant), Nalchik - 42nd (0.64 sq. m), Vladikavkaz - 46th (0.61 sq. m. ), Makhachkala - 75th (0.4 sq. M).

In total, in 2022, 102.7 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Russia. The highest rates per person are in Krasnodar (2.47 sq. m.), Novorossiysk (1.97 sq. m.) and Sochi (1.77 sq. m.). The lowest ones are in Magadan (0.09 sq.m), Komsomolsk-on-Amur (0.08 sq.m) and Murmansk (0.02 sq.m).

The 2026 World Press Freedom Index, published this morning by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), records the worst deterioration in global media freedom in 25 years.
