Pashinyan also reported a significant reduction in extreme poverty in Armenia in recent years, noting that the country has become more prosperous.
He emphasized that approximately 280,000 new jobs have been created since 2018. Economic growth was 53.9% compared to 2017 figures, and budget revenues have doubled.
The previous day, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev visited Armenia for the regular meeting of the commissions dealing with state border delimitation. The parties also discussed issues of deepening trade and economic cooperation, including mutual product supplies and transit shipments.
Aide to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev described the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation as "historic."
