Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has called former President Salome Zurabishvili a "dragonfly" in Russian. The day before, she stated that the ruling Georgian Dream party was initially created according to a Russian plan and operates under Moscow's influence.
"You know very well who Salome Zurabishvili is. I would also like to remind you of her nickname – Dragonfly. This Dragonfly should not talk about others. That's the only thing I can tell you. We are completely uninterested in this person," Kobakhidze told reporters.
The day before, Salome Zurabishvili answered questions from the public in a live broadcast on Facebook. According to her, signs of the Georgian Dream party's pro-Russian course were not immediately apparent. She noted that for a long time, the party maintained its stated Euro-Atlantic orientation and demonstrated a willingness to follow the recommendations of its Western partners. However, pressure from Moscow subsequently intensified, and the political force still projects predominantly anti-Western rhetoric.
