Regions of the North Caucasian Federal District were among the worst in terms of the level of development of science and technology

In terms of the level of development of scientific and technological activities, Ingushetia took the last place (85th place) in the RIA Rating list. Karachay-Cherkessia is located on the 79th line, Chechnya - on the 77th, Dagestan - on the 76th, Kabardino-Balkaria - on the 74th, North Ossetia - on the 71st. Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tatarstan topped the rating.

The analysis methodology is based on aggregating the values of 19 indicators, combined into four groups. These data characterize the human resources and material and technical base involved in the field of science and technology, as well as the scale and efficiency of scientific and technological activities.
