Russians lead in money transfers and purchase of apartments in Georgia

In March, 223.6 million dollars were transferred from Russia to Georgia. This is 728% more than in the same month of 2022. Funds from Russia account for 51 per cent of total remittances. 

In addition, real estate in Georgia in 2022 and at the beginning of this year most of all foreigners purchased Russians. They bought more than 8 thousand apartments. In the first three months of 2023, exports from Russia through Georgia increased by 33%.
