The lowest salaries in the Russian Federation for kindergarten teachers and teachers are in the North Caucasus

The average salary for a kindergarten teacher in Russia in 2023, according to Rosstat, was 48.1 thousand rubles. The lowest figures are in Chechnya (25.4 thousand), Ingushetia (26.2 thousand), Karachay-Cherkessia (27.5 thousand) and Dagestan (28.5 thousand). The highest salaries for teachers of state preschool institutions are in Chukotka (117.1 thousand), Yamal (110 thousand) and in the Magadan region (99.2 thousand). We are talking about accrued salaries without deduction of income tax.

School teachers in the North Caucasus Federal District also earn less than their colleagues from other regions of the Russian Federation. Thus, in Ingushetia the average teacher's salary is 25.9 thousand rubles, in Karachay-Cherkessia - 29.5 thousand, in Chechnya - 29.7 thousand, in North Ossetia - 30.9 thousand. The highest remuneration for your work received by teachers teaching in Chukotka (142.6 thousand), Yamal (128 thousand) and Moscow (111.8 thousand). The average salary of a teacher in the Russian Federation, according to official statistics, is 55.6 thousand rubles.
