The highest level of poverty in the Russian Federation was recorded in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District

The RIA Rating agency presented the rating of the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of the income level of the population. Dagestan occupies 50th place in it, North Ossetia - 67th. In these republics, 14% of the population is below the poverty line.

The situation is even worse in the KBR and Chechnya - they are in 70th and 71st places, where the critically poor are 16% and over 19%, respectively. On the 79th line is the Stavropol Territory, where 11.7% of the population is below the poverty line. On the 83rd place - KChR (22%). At the very end of the list - on the 85th line - was Ingushetia, where 30% of the population is below the poverty line. At the head of the rating are the Yamalo-Nenets and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, as well as Moscow.

The main indicators in compiling the rating were the proportion of residents below the poverty line in 2022 and the ratio of median income to the cost of a fixed set of goods and services (how much you can buy with a salary).
