The North Caucasus is among the last in terms of the number of mortgages among Russian regions

The subjects of the North Caucasus were among the regions with the lowest level of mortgage lending. Over the past year, only three mortgage loans were issued in Ingushetia per thousand economically active residents - this is the lowest figure in the country (85th place).

Next come Dagestan (3.9 loans per thousand people) and Chechnya (5.9). In Kabardino-Balkaria, the figure was 6.2 (81st place), in North Ossetia - 8.9 (79th), in Karachay-Cherkessia - 9.9 (75th), in Stavropol Krai - 10.3 (71st).

In addition, Ingushetia and Chechnya have one of the lowest average mortgage loan sizes - just over 1 million rubles, which is more than seven times less than in Moscow.

On average, 13.4 mortgage loans were issued per thousand economically active citizens in Russia per year. For comparison: in 2023, this figure was 25.5.
