Regional capitals of the North Caucasian Federal District became the worst in terms of wages

Nalchik, the capital of the Kabardino-Balkaria, took the last, 100th place in the ranking of residents’ salaries published by RIA Novosti. In this city, the average net salary in the first half of 2023 could buy 1.97 fixed consumer packages.

Grozny (2.1 sets) was in 98th place, Vladikavkaz was in 97th place (2.15), and Cherkessk was in 96th place (2.16). Stavropol took 84th place (2.43), the capital of Ingushetia Magas – 74th (2.59). Makhachkala was not included in the rating.
 
In 1st place is Novy Urengoy. In this largest city of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the net salary exceeds the cost of a fixed set six times. On the 2nd line is the capital of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Salekhard, where the average salary allows you to purchase 5.35 sets. Moscow closes the top three with 4.8 sets.

To assess the situation, experts calculated the ratio of average salaries in the hundred largest cities of Russia and the cost of a fixed consumer set of goods and services.
