Inflation in the North Caucasus Federal District decreased in May

Annual inflation in the North Caucasus Federal District in May this year fell to 2.3% after 2.5% in April. The new indicator is slightly lower than inflation in Russia as a whole (2.5%). Annual price growth in the Okrug continued to slow down under the influence of increased food supply and reduced costs for food producers. This was announced by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Annual inflation in Russia moved to growth in May, rising to 2.5% (a month earlier - 2.31%). Compared to the previous month, the rise in prices for services has accelerated, and prices for non-food products have risen. On average, for three months (from March to May), the increase in prices amounted to 0.3%, which is equivalent to 4% in annual terms.
