The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
Over the first five months of 2025, the commissioning of new housing in the North Caucasus Federal District decreased by 28.5% to 3.1 million square meters. The most pronounced negative dynamics are in Dagestan, where the figure fell almost threefold (to 624.9 thousand square meters).
In general, in the Russian Federation, the volume of housing commissioning in January-May 2025 increased by 2% compared to the same period last year. The leaders are the Moscow Region (5.7 million square meters, +29.9%), Krasnodar Krai (2.8 million square meters, +15.9%), Moscow (2.2 million square meters, +44.3%) and Tatarstan (2 million square meters, -10.4%).
At the same time, about 5.9 million square meters were commissioned in May across the country, the volume of commissioning decreased by 16.2%.
