Head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov was sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison in Ukraine for helping members of the "SVO". He was found guilty under the article on financing actions committed with the aim of changing the borders of Ukraine.

A man who is believed to be a member of the detachment of field commanders Shamil Basayev and Khattab has been detained in the Kaitag district of Dagestan. He allegedly took part in military actions in the Botlikh district of the republic in 1999 during the second Russian-Chechen war.

On May 21, a rally was held in the capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in memory of the victims of the Caucasian War and those who died for the independence of the Circassian people. At least two thousand people took part in the action.

A 21-year-old local resident of Volgograd was accused of publicly justifying terrorism. He is suspected of leaving a comment on social networks in support of natives of Ingushetia killed during the counter-terrorism operation in 2024.
