The European Parliament’s resolution on the need to release former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and allow him to be treated abroad caused a negative reaction in Tbilisi. They considered it a blackmail in terms of Georgia’s non-receipt for EU membership.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu said during a meeting in Ankara with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan that steps to normalize relations between the two countries would be accelerated. The ministers also discussed the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
