The US is deeply concerned that Azerbaijani activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev remains in detention and continues to face politically motivated charges. This was reported by a representative of the State Department.

The European Court awarded compensation for moral and material damage ranging from 1,000 to 3,900 euros to 59 Russians detained for participating in various actions and rallies. One of the applicants is a member of the Council of the CSDH «Memorial» Alexander Cherkasov, who was detained on July 15, 2019 in memory of Natalia Estemirov.

The Khoroshevsky District Court of Moscow recognized as illegal the 24th refusal of the UK to open a criminal case against the SD officers. In 2016, they broke into the apartment of the natives of Dagestan, the son and father of Murad and Firuddin Ragimov and brutally tortured them. Murada, according to relatives, planted drugs and sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment.

The ECHR has once again defended renowned Azerbaijani journalist Khadija Ismayilova, finding her criminal prosecution in 2014-2015 unlawful. The court found that the charges of tax evasion and illegal entrepreneurial activity (working for foreign media without accreditation) were unfounded and violated Article 7 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
