An opponent of the law on foreign agents, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili spoke about the decision being discussed by parliament in an interview with CNN. According to her, the country's population will never allow a government that is clearly pro-Russian to remain its government, because it contradicts its basic existential choice.

The ruling party of Georgia and its allies in parliament approved in the first reading the bill “On Transparency of Foreign Influence,” known as the “foreign agents” law. It obliges foreign-funded non-governmental organizations and media to register in a special register and fill out annual declarations.

The Kremlin confirmed the withdrawal of the Russian military contingent from Nagorno-Karabakh, which was there on a peacekeeping mission by agreement between Baku, Yerevan and Moscow. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
