On September 14, the Court of Appeals of Georgia began reviewing the case concerning the events of October 4, 2025, when participants in an opposition protest allegedly attempted to bring about a "peaceful transfer of power." The majority of those convicted in the case are opposition politicians.

On September 13, the body of Colonel Khavazhi Amayev—an Ichkerian fighter with the Chechen volunteer Sheikh Mansur Battalion, which fights on Ukraine's side—was found in a Lviv apartment bearing multiple stab wounds. Amayev was better known by the call sign "Zumso."

Yashar Shikhametov, a Crimean Tatar and political prisoner currently serving a sentence in a penal colony in Russia's Kemerovo region, has been assigned Group III disability status. His health is deteriorating rapidly; due to joint and spinal issues, he is barely able to move around on his own. On September 12 and 13, the bodies of two more climbers were recovered during search-and-rescue operations at the site of an avalanche in the Bezengi Gorge, Kabardino-Balkaria. This brings the total number of fatalities among the climbing group to 17.

The Tbilisi City Court has remanded Giorgi Baramidze, a leader of the opposition United National Movement, in custody. The politician has been charged under Articles 307¹ ("high treason") and 318 ("sabotage") of the Criminal Code of Georgia. He faces up to four years in prison.
